Job description

We are looking for a strategic and analytical Senior Manager to serve as the lead on our e-commerce site team at our client. This person will lead and manage e-commerce site optimization and development and site merchandising in collaboration with an e-commerce manager and cross-functional partners from operations, marketing, web development, and creative (UI/UX design). What You’ll Do:

-Own the strategy, planning, and execution of our client's US and AU website KPIs including site performance, revenue, and conversion rate as it relates to web analytics, site merchandising, SEO, product launches and site optimization.

-Site Merchandising: Ensure products are appropriately assigned within the product taxonomy to optimize for conversion and brand alignment

-Define and own the brand’s merchandising strategy (inclusive of navigation, categorization, cross-selling, product bundles, etc.) to drive engagement, conversion, AOV, and strong SEO.

-Analyze customer interaction on the web to develop a digital merchandising vision, strategy, and road map to drive strategies that deliver increased conversion, sales, average order value

-Manage the sourcing and maintenance of accurate, approved, and up-to-date product content, including product specifications, photos, copy, pricing, and rich marketing content.

-Proactively identify opportunities in the assortment for growth/decline by category based on market trends, competitive landscape, and historical performance. SEO

-Research, develop and optimize onsite and offsite SEO such as leading and managing audits, resolving broken links and redirects and strategically site mapping.

-Collaborate on SEM strategies to increase quality score, decrease bounce rates, and capture expansion opportunities.

-Oversee landing page and content development (blogs, product descriptions) to optimize SEO and user experience as it relates to increased site traffic, quality score and brand awareness.

-Site Optimization: Oversee the development and prioritization of initiatives to drive UX/UI customer experience, conversion rate optimization, and revenue targets for desktop and mobile engagements in collaboration with designers and developers.

-Research, scope and implement A/B testing, UX/UI optimization, and efficiency increasing tools, templates, and apps as it relates to the site.

-Monitor advancements in eCommerce and digital space, as well as the competitive landscape, for opportunities and new ideas to improve our customer’s digital experience and revenue generation (Shopify apps, new platform releases).

-Web Analytics: Monitor and report on site analytics to improve all aspects of eCommerce performance, including A/B site testing, pre/post analyses of site KPIs and goals, and be able to synthesize these into concrete insights, opportunities, and road map enhancements.

-Define and develop weekly, monthly KPI and ad hoc reports in collaboration with analyst.

-Consult and collaborate with technical leads (developers, consultants) on proper site tagging, tracking, and infrastructure setup.

-Collaboration Liaise with external e-commerce and site software and platform vendors, developers, designers, and freelancers.

-Partner closely with the Director of Performance Marketing to ensure site efforts are consistent with digital/performance marketing strategy and company goals.

-Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams internally to ensure brand and operations alignment

-Manage and mentor one current direct report and develop and inform further team growth.

What We’re Looking For:

-5+ years of experience directly managing an e-commerce site at a high-growth, DTC brand with at least 2 managing at least one direct report.

-Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus and Apps and Google Analytics

-Broad experience with a multitude of e-commerce site optimization apps and tools such as A/B testing, UX/UI tools, etc. (ie. Optimizer, Hotjar, Cross-Sell etc.)

-Strong people and project management skills

-Strong analytical skills with deep understanding of relevant e-commerce KPIs and experience informing and developing reporting

-Understanding of front-end and back-end web landscape and decoupling

-Bonus points for experience with or knowledge of the following: Oracle Netsuite, Measured, Klaviyo, Attentive, Yotpo and Postscript.

-Preferable experience with e-commerce site performance forecasting (ie. conversion rate, revenue, traffic) Interest in sustainability and innovation
