Position Description:
The Sr. Media Planner position will be responsible for the planning of all Asian consumer media for our Client’s accounts, overseeing the work of the ACM planners/buyers for our Client. In addition to providing media planning support to the general market integrated media team in other accounts. This position provides a fantastic opportunity to develop higher expertise in two of the fastest growing areas in media: Multicultural and digital. Direct Report The Sr. Media Planner position will be reporting directly to the VP, Media Director for Multicultural.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the Asian Consumer Marketing team in the development of media objectives, strategies, tactics, and channel selection
- Researches and gathers data insights to assist in the preparation of media planning
- Aids in the development of target consumer profiles
- Evaluates and sets communication goals by channel, and holistically
- Evaluates wide range of media vehicles to determine plan application
- Generates and maintains planning documents such as flowcharts, budgets, program POVs and market landscapes
- Oversees negotiations and buying of all ACM TV, Radio, Print, OOH/sponsorships, and digital streaming vehicles
- Keeps current on media trends
- Responsible for developing the skill and knowledge base of junior associates
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field
- 4+ years agency/media planning experience with Asian Consumer Marketing
- Fluent (reading/writing) in Mandarin and/or other Asian languages (preferable but not required) Strong understanding of media fundamentals
- Strong knowledge of MS Suite (Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge and experience with Strata/SBMS, Basis and Advantage
