Job description

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and collaborative individual who wants to play a role in driving the business and brand objectives for a Fortune 300 company. The Senior Manager - Social Media Communications , is an opportunity for an expert in social and digital media campaigns. As part of the Strategic Communications team in Corporate Communications, reporting to the Senior Director Strategic Communications, this individual contributor will develop and manage the company’s social media content strategy, while driving compelling and effective content for both organic and paid social media. Further, they will partner closely with others throughout the Corporate Communications team to offer strategic guidance on how social media can help achieve brand objectives, and execute on implementing those strategies.
 
Responsibilities
Using proven expertise, develop and execute social media content strategy, creating innovative campaigns run through storytelling infrastructure, including social media channel-specific strategies to best engage and influence each audience.
Develop and execute social strategy and social brand voice across NS’s key channels - LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook – to build and maintain the brand online, support announcements and events, and drive awareness of corporate priorities.
Drive both long-term and short-term strategies and tactics, as well as rapid response online as needed.
Continuously monitor and optimize content and campaigns across multiple social platforms to drive engagement and follower growth through data, measurement, and analysis.
Develop copy and content direction for social media posts; work cooperatively with the Content Creation team to develop impactful assets consistent with branding and targeted audience.
Collaborate across the Strategic Communications team to populate Story Yard, the company’s corporate journalism page, driving traffic to the site and regular content.
Exercise sound judgement to secure NS reputation online and minimize social media risks for organization.
Provide counsel to leaders at the company on how to best position their presence on platforms like LinkedIn. 
Stay on top of trends in innovation in social media, evaluate new platforms, and make recommendations to team on where NS might have opportunities for impact.
 
Experience
Undergraduate degree or higher in communications, public relations, marketing, mass communication, business, liberal arts, or a related area.
5+ years’ experience developing and executing social media strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive corporate reputation at a communications agency, corporation, government entity, or digital publisher.
Track record of developing effective social media campaigns that have measurably improved brand perceptions, employee engagement, and awareness of corporate priorities and company stories.
Proven success in driving all aspects of social media strategy including developing campaigns in support of business objectives and various target audiences; producing strategic content across all channels while accounting for different platform audiences and usage; and monitoring social media analytics.
Experience developing impactful content strategy for LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
