Our client, swimwear manufacturer is looking to bring on an Associate Technical Designer to join their team.
Fulltime Direct Hire
Location: Anaheim – Onsite 5 days a week
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Gather all swimwear component construction information and create a Tech Pack for mass production
• Work with Design, Product Development, Pattern Makers, sewers, and production teams
• Must be able to accurately gather and write components information, and sewing instructions, for the right division
• Attend fitting sessions to gather information when needed
• Will need to use software to sketch each design
• Full garment construction to build spec Sheets
• Write clear sewing instructions for overseas production
• Communicate clearly with contractors
• Track and follow up the product development process to collect all garment construction information
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• Fashion degree or hands-on experience is a must
• 3-5 years of Tech Pack Writing experience
• Adobe Illustrator advanced experience
• Microsoft Excel experience
• Swimwear experience preferred
• Garment construction and components experience is essential
• Must be familiar, with thread, elastic, fabric grainline, trims, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand highly technical information
• Able to sketch styles with Adobe Illustrator
• Pattern Making experience is preferred
• Able to work in a fast pace working environment
