Our client, a contemporary lifestyle brand is currently seeking an experienced Technical Designer to add to their team.*Must have knits & wovens experience*
ONSITE x4 per week
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the expert in Fit and Technical Design.
- Work with designers to oversee product life cycle from concept to tech pack through to fittings and final production.
- Set up initial tech packs with all the necessary details for overseas development.
- Attend and conduct all fittings in conjunction with Product Developers and Designers to create brand fits and product standards by accurately spec’ing and measuring garments to ensure consistency across all suppliers, as well as communicating clearly, concisely, and accurately to foreign suppliers.
- Create and update size charts for all styles.
- Collaborate with in-house teams to review data around returns and any improvements that may be required for current product along with incorporating feedback in go forward development.
- Review, approve and maintain PP/TOPs for library of final production reference.
- Have a strategic mindset and work to push fit and construction process to next level to ensure best end results for customers.
- Manage assigned style’s spec’s, PP’s, TOP’s
- Create accurate flat sketch construction pages
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years experience in Technical design, including fit and tech pack creation
- Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, fit and grading
- Experience in establishing Blocks and Standards/POMs
- Strong computer skills in the Adobe and Windows Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc…)
- Deadline oriented with ability to manage and adhere to time and action calendars.
- A proactive problem solver and self-starter who is equally comfortable working independently and as part of a team and who can prioritize their work-load efficiently.
