Technical Designer-Onsite-Los Angeles

About the Role:
A high-end contemporary brand is seeking an experienced Technical Designer to support the development of elevated RTW collections. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, design-driven environment and brings a strong technical foundation across contemporary apparel categories. You will partner closely with Design, Production, and Patternmaking to ensure each garment meets the brand’s quality, fit, and construction standards.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure technical accuracy and fit consistency across multiple contemporary categories
• Create and maintain detailed tech packs, including specs, sketches, construction details, and BOMs
• Review and measure proto, fit, and pre-production samples; document and communicate clear fit comments to overseas vendors
• Participate in fit sessions and collaborate with Design, Patternmakers, and Production to resolve construction and fit challenges
• Update PLM systems with all spec changes, comments, and revisions
• Track samples, approvals, and development milestones to ensure on-time delivery
• Assist in refining processes, improving workflow efficiency, and supporting cross-functional teams as needed

Qualifications:
• 5–7 years of technical design experience within the contemporary or elevated RTW market
• Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and PLM systems
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
• Ability to multitask across categories and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
• Strong sense of fit, proportion, fabrications, and overall product quality
