Job description

Our client in the healthcare retail space located in Green Oaks, is seeking to add an eCommerce Technical Lead to our team. The role will be hybrid!

Responsibilities

  • Owns design/architecture of complete eCommerce stack (Optimizely platform, ERP integrations, data platforms integrations and other integrations related to shipping, payments, tax etc.)
  • The Technical Lead, eCommerce, will split their responsibilities between driving technical changes, managing ongoing sprints and owning the technology roadmap for future changes
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to NorthShore team and offshore team members
  • Demonstrate industry-standard methodologies and provide thought leadership to marketing teams regarding product marketing and eCommerce approaches, social media, and site analytics
  • Suggests innovative solutions to help enhance business KPIs related to revenue, customer retention and customer satisfaction
  • Develop code, scripts, and designs per business requirements when needed (Optimizely platform, .Net, Azure, HTML, CSS etc.)
  • Conduct code reviews as required
  • Partners with Optimizely product and management team to proactively manage upcoming upgrades, patches and new features
  • Contribute to the development of the eCommerce digital strategy
  • Oversee/coordinate supporting technical work required with NorthShore IT team and other partner teams
  • Partner with eCommerce product owners to align on technical implementation that maps to business needs
  • Oversee the work of offshore developers and QA team members to ensure that agile stories support the release plan defined by the product owner and are delivered with high quality
  • Participate in Agile rituals – standups, iteration planning, retrospectives, document technical work in technical stories using JIRA board, and estimate (using agile points/story sizing techniques) the work effort required to complete those stories

 

Qualifications

  • Track record of successfully bringing digital solutions to market
  • Strong eCommerce functional expertise to help address complex issues to achieve desired business goals
  • Strong analytics skills and aptitude for solving large and complex problems
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in .Net development role and designing eCommerce applications
  • Strong Functional Experience in configuration of Optimizely Commerce Cloud including main capabilities such as cart checkout, order management, user management, product content management and catalog management
  • Expert in the software product development lifecycle, agile project management delivery and related tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • 2+ years of experience with data platforms, personalization and customer analytics
  • Bachelor's degree (computer / information science, marketing, or business) and 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Retail or direct to customer eCommerce industry experience required
