Job description
As the Technical Project Manager, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of technology projects. The ideal candidate will have experience managing several projects concurrently while continuously delivering results that are on-time and on budget. Due to the nature of the projects being managed, the Technical Project Manager will need a strong technology competency and must possess the ability to manage on site and remote teams. A strong business acumen is a must as this individual will need to continually make project critical decisions that could have an outsized, long term impact on our business.
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of eCommerce projects across multiple teams
Follow a defined project management methodology which is accountable for the detailed planning of steps and resources needed to meet the objective
Own communication for technical delivery across these projects with senior leadership and partner orgs
Partner with internal stakeholders to define outcome strategy and project requirements
Document all project requirements, user stories and test plans in an accessible format with change controls
Communicate regularly with senior leadership on project status, risks, and changes in scope
Own sprint planning and reporting for our engineering and data teams
Partner with engineering team on feature scoring and to provide level of effort estimates
Resolve conflicts in a timely manner and escalate to senior management when appropriate
Lead daily stand up meeting
Develop and maintain a dashboard which visualizes the projects status of all work currently in flight as well as backlog
Manage 3rd party relationships with vendors and agencies
Experience Needed:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics or equivalent
5+ years of technical program management experience
5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
5+ years of relevant work experience in technical program management or related function.
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Excellent customer intuition; demonstrated success in identifying, prioritizing and delivering product capabilities to delight customers
Capacity to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule and meet deadlines
Strong data analysis skills; the ability to run data analysis and synthesize data to make on-point business decisions
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with an ability to influence at executive level
Proven track record of earning trust with stakeholders who may possess disparate working styles
PPM certification is strongly preferred
