UX DESIGNER

Reporting to: Head of Design & Video

Managing: None at present

The client is a Production, Product & Innovation Studio that provides services to businesses within a collective of Creative Marketing Agencies across UK, Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. Their main capabilities are Digital Strategy, Design, Development, SEO and Video, supported by their Delivery team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Play a key role in user-centred design process for websites, applications and digital communications, being hands-on with all stages of design thinking
  • Lead user research, workshops and interviews; in-person and remote
  • Carry out usability and A/B testing, interpret results and create reports and recommendations
  • Conduct site reviews and critiques. Offer suggestions and ideas for possible improvements
  • Create user personas, customer journey maps and problem statements
  • Create high fidelity wireframes, mock ups and interactive prototypes
  • Carry out user testing, analyse findings and use to iterate prototypes and designs
  • Assess and analyse data and insights from multiple sources
  • Work closely with UI Designers and Developers to ensure design decisions are clearly communicated and to facilitate seamless transition through the design and development phases

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial or agency environment
  • A clear understanding of the importance of user-centred design and design thinking
  • Proficient in best practise research techniques
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a range of stakeholders including users, clients, agencies and colleagues
  • Able to lead productive discussions and workshops
  • Expertise with wireframing and prototyping tools: e.g. Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, Balsamiq, InVision and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Remain up to date with the latest design trends and techniques, and be able to apply them to your work
  • Strong knowledge of digital design best practises including accessibility standards
  • Be able to understand and work within the technical and functional limitations of all platforms for which you design
