Job description

Our client is a cosmetics company that is looking for a hew Vice President of Sales to join their team.

The Position:
We are seeking an analytic and strategic-minded VP of Sales to lead wholesale and drive revenue growth. Candidates will have a proven track record of success in sales leadership, including experience in developing key accounts, such as Target and Ulta, and a strong understanding of beauty. The position reports directly into our Chief Executive Officer.
Scope:
  • The primary near term focus for this role is to expand distribution to major retail chains, such as Target and Ulta, across multiple product categories.
  • Oversee existing Walmart business in the US and Canada and expand into additional categories.
  • Relentlessly review store segmentation and space to create opportunities to expand the cosmetics shelf and make it more productive.
  • In partnership with marketing, creative, and operations planning, deliver fully aligned annual business plans for each strategic customer.  Execute against these plans by leading cross-functional efforts to deliver profitable growth
  • Analyze sales data, competitive activities, and market trends to identify new opportunities for growth and optimization in existing business.
  • Develop a data driven mindset across the sales organization to inform all decisions.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates and insights to senior management
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Active relationships with Ulta, and/or Target and Walmart
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in wholesale roles within the consumer goods industry, preferably in beauty
  • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and building long term strategic plans for wholesale growth
  • Experience leading sales leaders to achieve their targets and developing a sales culture
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deep experience in managing retail accounts using sales performance data as a foundation to grow the business.
