Yarn & Trims Associate

Position Overview: Reporting to the Fabric and Trims Manager, The Yarns & Trims Associate will be responsible for managing the planning (projections) and purchasing of yarns and all collection trims.

Trim Associate Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Product team and Supply Chain team on all the existing and new yarns and trims and create a booking calendar for all seasonal and carry over yarns and trims.
•  Management of all yarns & trims POs to the suppliers, both after projections and final units.
• Track the yarns & trims deliveries schedule from the booking stage to the final delivery to the manufacturing vendors.
• Daily tracking & managing of Yarns & Trims PO’s in RLM.
• Weekly T&A management to ensure on time deliveries of yarns and trims.
• Communicate with domestic and overseas mills and vendors to ensure deadlines are met.
• Manage the production cost in RLM for both yarns and trims.
• In collaboration with Product and Supply Chain, negotiate and improve the yarns & trims costs.
• Quality control, inspection reports review and bulk garments quality assurance. Yarns FDS and test reports.
• Strong understanding of product testing requirements and its management.
• Works closely with Product and Design team to ensure on-time approvals.
• Work with Tech Design and Product on the ETA for any sampling fabrics /trims to assure the fit schedule is on track.
• Collaborate on the sourcing and approval of Sustainable materials.

Trim Associate Qualifications:
• Working with Italian mills is a must.
• RLM System knowledge is a strong plus.
• Detail-oriented and strong follow-up skills.
• Experience working with overseas and domestic vendors.
• Product management and strong material knowledge in knitwear & trims.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fashion/luxury company.
• Prior experience in knitwear (at least 2-3 years) is required.
• Strong negotiation skills and proactive problem-solver
• Ability to work independently to deliver results
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must know the Go to Market fashion calendar.
• Knowledge in global sourcing, managing time and actions, and knowing the product cycle from development to PO fulfillment.
• Excellent level in MS Excel.
• Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
• Excellent spirit of collaboration with other departments.
• Must have a can-do attitude and problem-solving skills.
