Job description

Our client, a beauty brand is seeking as an Administrative Support Specialist for their Product Development team in El Segundo. 

This role is contract up to 6 months. 
Rate: up to $22/per hour DOE 
Location: on-site Monday - Friday at El Segundo HQ 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory and organize the product master room to ensure easy access to necessary materials.
  • Coordinate the shipment and receipt of samples, swatches, and test formulas, keeping track of all incoming and outgoing items.
  • Gather social listening insights and consumer feedback on new launches, providing a comprehensive review summary for the team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends through market research and create presentations to share insights with the Product Development team.
  • Create visually appealing presentations for packaging, formula, and shade inspiration.
  • Review shade matching submissions under the supervision of the Product Development manager and manage formula submission trackers.
  • Support the entire Product Development team by managing product sample requests from cross-functional teams for photoshoots, retailer meetings, and other business needs.
  • Maintain and update the Product Master log and library, ensuring meticulous labeling and organization of all production masters.
  • Assist the Product Development Manager in searching for, purchasing, swatching, and organizing color benchmarks for new launches.
  • Provide assistance to the Product Development team during launches and development projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to compile agenda topics for Product Development/Marketing status meetings and cross-functional meetings.
  • Take detailed notes during vendor meetings and presentations, sharing recaps with relevant stakeholders.
  • Track and organize all samples from vendor presentations, ensuring easy access for the team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Product Development room on a weekly basis.
  • Assist Product Development Managers with product swatches and demos as required.
  • Handle general office tasks including shipping, filing, organizing, and ordering supplies to support the efficient operation of the department.

Requirements:

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about beauty industry trends.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong follow-through skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Entry-level or 1-3 years of previous work experience, preferably in the beauty industry (experience not required but preferred).
