Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our Finance Department. This role involves assisting in the preparation of financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
- Conduct reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
- Support external auditors by providing necessary account information and documentation for the annual audit.
- Manage journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting functions.
- Engage in additional accounting-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in an accounting role.
- Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, including the use of VLOOKUPS and pivot tables.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of working under pressure, prioritizing tasks effectively, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Solid understanding of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Experience with Shopify and software conversion is a plus.
