Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Global Events Specialist who is passionate about executing and working in a team environment across our portfolio of events. This position will report directly to the Director, Head of Global Events. This is a 1-year contract, onsite as needed.Key Responsibilities:
- Support event planning and execution deliverables (may include giveaways, gamification, housing support, expo pass distribution)
- Be on-site at events to provide operational support (registration desk, booth staffing, etc)
- Provide hospitality service support at executive events (book and manage customer and executive transportation, on-site host services, food and beverage coordination)
- Support speaker management activities including: organizing speaker training, scheduling reviews and rehearsals, managing speaker communications and speaker related forms, as well as providing virtual speaker support for online events and/or on-site speaker support
- Work directly with content owners to drive deliverables to deadlines
- Support team budget management (including requesting purchase orders, tracking spend, mapping expenses)
- Effective project management including creation, ownership and adherence to timelines and templates
Skills:
- 3+ years experience in Marketing/Marketing support (hospitality or event experience preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Detail- and service oriented
- Creative, collaborative, and resourceful
- Proven passion for learning and growth
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Positive and motivated self-starter
