Informed Women Are Empowered Women

Back when I launched 24 Seven, one of the founding elements of our mission was to be a supportive and empowering workplace where women were enabled to charter their own professional and financial course. It’s no surprise that we have grown to be a company made up of 90% driven, successful and fierce females.

Step Up

In alignment with this mission that continues on today, we recently partnered with the not-for-profit organization Step Up Women’s Network (SUWN). This impressive organization propels girls from under-resourced communities to fulfill their potential by guiding them to become confident, college-bound, career-focused and prepared to join the ranks of professional women. The rollout of this partnership has begun with SUWN’s chapters in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. It’s been rewarding to watch our employees embrace this synergistic partnership across our offices. SUWN mentees have attended cover letter, resume and writing workshops; mentorship sessions; communication strategy and interview role play; and even a review of how to dress and style oneself appropriately for interviews and professional events.

The time is now

The time has never been more critical to provide women from all walks of life and professional levels with the tools they need to reach for the sky and become one of the stars. It’s in this spirit that we are also launching a new subject matter series, Leading Ladies. This curated collection of both inspiring and practical content comprises information that women can use as they navigate their careers – from job search recommendations to understanding their worth and setting compensation goals, to advice on managing their career and others as they climb the linear corporate ladder or a more non-traditional trellis (because that’s an option too). Watch this space for more of the Leading Ladies series.
