Associate Creative Director, Copy
We are seeking an experienced Associate Creative Director, Copy to join a high-performing team supporting life sciences and healthcare brands. This role is ideal for a strategic, concept-driven writer with deep experience creating compelling content for regulated industries and leading copy development across multiple channels.
The right candidate brings strong pharmaceutical or medical writing experience, a sharp understanding of audience engagement, and the ability to balance creativity with compliance. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver clear, impactful content that supports brand objectives and drives action among patient and healthcare professional audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of clear, compelling copy across digital, web, email, CRM, sales collateral, direct mail, SMS, and other marketing channels.
- Write and refine both long-form and short-form content for patient and healthcare professional audiences.
- Present creative work with clear strategic rationale tied to communication goals and business objectives.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, messaging strategy, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Partner with creative, strategy, design, and marketing teams to build effective, audience-centered experiences.
- Use audience insights and research to shape content strategy and improve engagement.
- Provide mentorship, feedback, and direction to junior copywriters and other team members.
- Contribute to a collaborative creative process while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of copywriting experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
- Proven experience writing for pharmaceutical and/or medical brands.
- Experience working within FDA-regulated environments; PAAB experience is a plus.
- Experience leading, reviewing, or mentoring copywriters.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating relevant healthcare, medical, or life sciences work.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a high level of attention to detail.
- University degree required.
- Familiarity with MedTech or other highly regulated categories.
Additional Information
English is required for this position due to regular collaboration with English-speaking stakeholders across global teams.
Pay: $60-75/hour
