We’re currently working on an exciting opportunity with a well-known fashion brand for an Associate Product Developer. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Product Development, Design who has a strong eye for trend, solid fabric knowledge, and a passion for product development.
This position supports the product lifecycle from concept through production and offers a highly collaborative environment working cross-functionally with Design, Tech Design, Merchandising, Buying, and overseas vendors. Candidates with a blend of Product Development and Design experience will be especially competitive.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Support product development from concept through final production
- Conduct trend and market research to help inform product direction
- Partner cross-functionally with Design, Tech Design, Merchandising, Buying, and vendors
- Assist with tech packs, WIP reports, cost sheets, and product documentation
- Coordinate approvals for colors, trims, washes, and materials
- Attend fittings, track samples, and help keep calendars on schedule
- Maintain accurate product information across internal systems
- Communicate daily with overseas vendors on specs, timelines, and quality
What They’re Looking For:
- 2–5 years of experience in Product Development, Merchandising, Buying, or Design
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Product Development, or a related field
- Strong understanding of the apparel product development process
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and materials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
- Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus
- Experience working with overseas vendors is preferred
- PLM or product tracking system knowledge is a plus
