Job description

Beauty Brand is seeking a strategic, analytical, and execution-oriented eCommerce marketplace leader to oversee and grow a major third-party online retail channel across North American markets. This is a high-impact contract opportunity for someone who can manage day-to-day marketplace operations while driving performance through cross-functional collaboration, operational oversight, and digital growth initiatives.

This individual will take ownership of marketplace performance, partnering closely with internal teams across planning, supply chain, operations, finance, customer support, sales, and creative, as well as external partners. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with the ability to translate business goals into actionable plans and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own daily operations and overall strategy for a high-priority online marketplace business
  • Build and manage forecasts to support sales planning and inventory needs
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to maintain product availability, improve fulfillment, and reduce stock issues
  • Manage order flow and marketplace fulfillment processes
  • Monitor operational issues such as shortages, deductions, compliance concerns, and service-related exceptions, and help drive resolution
  • Create, update, and optimize product listings and digital content to improve visibility and conversion
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies on advertising and promotional strategy
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue through assortment planning, merchandising, pricing, and promotional execution
  • Track marketplace and media performance data and provide reporting to key stakeholders
  • Analyze core KPIs and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Lead recurring business reviews and performance update meetings
  • Build strong working relationships with agency and vendor partners
  • Identify performance gaps and operational issues quickly and implement solutions
  • Work closely with creative and content teams to ensure assets are delivered accurately and on time
  • Support broader digital commerce initiatives as needed
  • Stay current on marketplace trends, platform updates, and emerging best practices

Preferred Background

  • Several years of experience managing large online marketplace channels and eCommerce operations
  • Strong understanding of digital merchandising, paid media, and marketplace performance drivers
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, finance, and creative teams
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Experience with enterprise systems and digital content tools is a plus
  • Industry experience in consumer products is helpful but not required
