Position Summary

The eCommerce Stylist is responsible for styling and managing samples for e-commerce photography, ensuring every product is presented consistently, accurately, and in line with established creative direction. This role partners closely with Creative, Production, Merchandising, and Photography teams to prepare polished, conversion-focused looks for digital channels.

The ideal candidate brings strong fashion styling experience, exceptional organization, an eye for detail and proportion, and the ability to manage a high volume of products and shoot priorities in a fast-paced studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Style apparel, accessories, and complete looks for e-commerce photography in alignment with seasonal creative direction and visual standards.
  • Prepare daily styleouts, product pulls, sample requests, returns, and shot-ready materials for studio shoots.
  • Partner with Photography and Production teams to maintain efficient shoot flow, accurate product representation, and consistent image quality.
  • Ensure garments are properly steamed, pinned, clipped, layered, and styled to achieve the intended fit, silhouette, and presentation.
  • Build and maintain styling guides, outfit formulas, reference boards, and product-specific notes to support consistency across shoots.
  • Review product details before shoots, including color, fabrication, fit, styling direction, and relevant merchandising priorities.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Merchandising partners on key product stories, seasonal launches, and elevated styling opportunities.
  • Maintain organized sample storage, tracking, and return processes to minimize missing or delayed product.
  • Support styling recaps, shot lists, look tracking, and post-shoot organization as needed.
  • Identify styling, fit, product, or sample issues during shoots and communicate solutions promptly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay current on fashion, styling, digital retail, and visual merchandising trends.
  • Assist with additional studio, production, creative, and styling projects as business needs require.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education Requirements

  • Approximately 4–6 years of professional styling experience in e-commerce, fashion retail, editorial, studio, or a related creative environment.
  • Demonstrated experience styling apparel and accessories for digital product photography.
  • Strong understanding of fit, proportion, color, layering, fabric, and product presentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain visual consistency across a high volume of imagery.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interpret creative direction and apply feedback quickly and accurately.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative studio team.
  • Comfort handling, organizing, and transporting samples, garments, accessories, and production materials.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and support active 8–10 hour shoot days.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to support evolving studio and production needs.
