Our client, a creative agency has an immediate need for a Graphic Designer with entertainment experience. This is a freelance position that starts as soon as next week through February that is hybrid onsite. Must be able to work 12-8 pm shift.
The ideal candidate will need to be a team player with strong creative skills and a passion for thoughtful and strategic advertising layouts and typography. This person must have experience in adapting art to numerous advertising platforms that includes digital and print.
Responsibilities
- Designer for film awards campaigns during the busy, fast-paced awards season
- Collaborate with the awards team to ensure consistency of designs for various breakout marketing materials – print ads, social, online, outdoor and promotional.
- Create strategic and effective materials that are characteristic to specific films and target a variety of awards voters.
- Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape and market trends.
- Self-starter that can work from various elements to create unique looks as well the ability to pivot quickly if the strategy changes.
- Previous experience with awards campaigns is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design, advertising or a similar field.
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign.
- Must have strong layout and design skills with a very detailed eye for crafting as well as following the notes. Impeccable detail to typography. Able to create clean, organized files.
- Must be a team player who can collaborate with the design team with a positive, can-do attitude.
- May also need to take a design comp and create an Indesign mechanical from it if the project is on a tight deadline
- Need to be living in the Los Angeles area and willing to be in the office for initial training. Hybrid work schedule is feasible. This is a 12-8pm shift.
- Occasional overtime may be required. Due to the awards schedule, the candidate must be available to work during the holiday season.
