Freelance Media Planner / Buyer (Paid Social Focus)
Duration: Early June start | 6–12 weeks (potential extension)
Hours: 15–20 hours/week
Location: Fully remote (must be U.S.-based and available during MT business hours, Mon–Fri 9am–5pm MT)
Hourly Pay Rate: $30 – $35/hour
A creative agency partnering with mission-driven outdoor, recreation, and conservation brands is seeking a Freelance Media Planner/Buyer (or Senior Planner/Buyer) to support ongoing media execution and optimization efforts across digital channels. This role is ideal for a hands-on media professional who thrives in performance-driven environments and is confident translating campaign data into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize paid social campaigns, primarily within Meta Ads Manager
- Support Google Ads campaign trafficking, optimization, and performance reporting (including Performance Max experience)
- Build and deliver clear, insightful media performance reports with actionable recommendations
- Support broader digital media planning and buying initiatives across active campaigns
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure campaigns are executed effectively and aligned to performance goals
- Monitor campaign performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of agency experience in media planning/buying or digital media execution
- Strong hands-on experience with Meta campaign trafficking, optimization, and reporting
- Proven experience managing Google Ads campaigns, including trafficking, optimization, and reporting
- Ability to analyze performance data and translate findings into clear insights and recommendations
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Comfortable working standard business hours within Mountain Time

- Experience with Google Performance Max campaigns
- Exposure to multi-channel digital media planning
- Strong reporting/dashboarding skills beyond platform-native reporting
