Our apparel retail client is looking for an Assistant Designer, Intimates to support their team on a hybrid contract basis in New York, NY from 05/26/2026 through 08/19/2026.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design and development of seasonal intimates collections
- Research trends, competitive brands, colors, fabrics, and silhouettes
- Create mood boards, inspiration boards, and trend research
- Develop sketches and technical flats in Adobe Illustrator
- Execute technical design packages within PLM systems
- Partner with CAD, Merchandising, and Product Development teams
- Prepare development decks, line sheets, and presentations
- Attend fit sessions and support development approvals
- Assist with day-to-day design operations and organization
Experience:
- 1–2 years of apparel design experience or related background
- Strong Illustrator sketching and technical flat skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools
- Experience supporting product development and design execution
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Vizcom is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
