Knit Tops Technical Designer
Our client, a leading retail organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Knit Tops Technical Designer to support the development and fit of knit-top product. This is a freelance opportunity based in New York, NY.
Work on development specs, garment specing, conduct fittings and process fit comments.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain technical specifications for knit-top styles.
- Create, review, and update garment measurements, construction details, and fit standards.
- Conduct fittings and translate feedback into clear, actionable fit comments.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors throughout the product-development process.
- Help ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy from development through production.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical design experience focused on knit tops or comparable apparel categories.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, specifications, measurement, and fit.
- Experience preparing development specs and processing fit comments.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced product-development environment.
