Sr. Project Manager (Packaging + Product Development)
Freelance | Hybrid On-Site | 6-Month Assignment | 40 Hours/Week
A leading company in the beauty and consumer products industry is seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager to support packaging and product development initiatives. This hands-on consultant will manage cross-functional projects from initial concept through execution, helping ensure critical milestones, approvals, and deliverables remain on track in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead packaging and product development projects from kickoff through launch readiness.
- Build, maintain, and communicate detailed project timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Partner with product development, packaging, creative, marketing, operations, and external vendors to align project execution.
- Drive cross-functional meetings, document decisions, and follow up on action items.
- Identify project risks, resolve roadblocks, and recommend practical solutions to keep workstreams moving.
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining strong organization, quality, and attention to detail.
- Support packaging development processes, including artwork, approvals, specifications, and production-related coordination.
- Provide clear status updates to stakeholders and escalate issues as needed.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in project management, product development, packaging development, or a related field.
- Experience supporting consumer products, beauty, personal care, or other fast-moving CPG categories strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage development timelines, approval workflows, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of packaging development, production coordination, and vendor communication.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to quickly onboard, take ownership of active projects, and work independently in a collaborative setting.
Schedule & Location
- Hybrid schedule with three days on-site and two days remote.
- Monday and Tuesday are required on-site workdays.
- Additional on-site day determined by business needs.
