We are seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Engineer to support the development, coordination, and execution of packaging projects across a personal care portfolio. The ideal candidate has a strong background in packaging within the personal care or CPG industry, is highly proficient in SolidWorks, and brings hands-on familiarity with packaging compendia and stability testing requirements.

**This is a contract role slated to last into spring 2027 and works hybrid onsite – 3 days / week in Los Angeles. Only local & available candidates will be considered

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound packaging samples, including receiving, logging, labeling, distributing, packaging, and shipping to vendors, testing labs, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage testing coordination with external laboratories, including tracking submissions, following up on results, and distributing reports to relevant teams.
  • Support the development and maintenance of technical specifications, component drawings, and packaging documentation using SolidWorks.
  • Assist with compendia and stability testing for packaging components, ensuring documentation and test results are properly tracked and organized.
  • Support packaging updates, line extensions, and minor component changes under the direction of the Packaging Lead.
  • Handle departmental shipping and administrative needs across the packaging team.
  • Provide proactive project updates and help maintain clear, accurate records across active initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in packaging, operations, or a CPG environment, ideally within the personal care industry.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, including creating and updating technical drawings and packaging specifications.
  • Strong familiarity with packaging compendia and stability testing processes.
  • Working knowledge of packaging components, materials, specifications, and testing workflows.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple samples, specifications, and deadlines.
  • Comfortable coordinating with vendors, laboratories, and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace; experience with Monday.com is a plus.
  • Proactive and dependable, with strong follow-through and communication skills.
