Our client, a growing name in the beauty and wellness space is seeking a PR and Media Relations Manager. This is a fulltime position that is onsite 5 days a week in Los Angeles.

Position Overview
This role will be responsible for developing and executing communications initiatives that strengthen the brand’s presence across consumer, regional, and industry media. The ideal candidate brings strong editorial instincts, established media relationships, and a demonstrated ability to build compelling narratives that resonate across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement media outreach strategies across consumer, regional, and trade publications.
- Use existing beauty, wellness, and lifestyle press relationships to generate impactful earned media coverage.
- Draft, refine, and distribute press materials that clearly communicate brand positioning and key initiatives.
- Maintain and organize press assets to support timely outreach and media opportunities.
- Cultivate strong relationships with editors, journalists, producers, and relevant industry contacts.
- Lead proactive pitching efforts, coordinate follow-up, and secure press interviews and feature opportunities.
- Partner on paid media placements across print and digital outlets to support visibility goals.
- Coordinate press-facing events, activations, and special media experiences.
- Contribute to internal communications projects, including updates, newsletters, and cross-functional messaging needs.
- Monitor media results, track placements, and report coverage insights to leadership.
- Collaborate closely with senior marketing and communications leadership to ensure alignment with broader brand strategy.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of PR experience within beauty, wellness, luxury, or other high-growth consumer brands.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with experience developing polished press releases and media-facing materials.
- Established relationships across print, digital, broadcast, and podcast media.
- A robust network of contacts in beauty, wellness, and lifestyle media.
- Experience managing paid media partnerships and ad placements.
- Proven success producing events, launches, or media activations.
- Background in influencer outreach and product seeding is highly valued.
- Exceptional communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively across teams.
- A proactive, creative mindset and enthusiasm for mission-driven brands.
