Retail Fabrication Project Manager
Our client is seeking a freelance Retail Fabrication Project Manager to support a high-visibility retail installation. This role serves as the key connection between stakeholders, design teams, and fabrication partners, ensuring design concepts are translated into clear, buildable execution. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in retail fabrication, is comfortable interpreting 3D models and design documentation, and can confidently manage vendor communication, pricing coordination, RFIs, and production details from handoff through execution.
This is a cross-functional freelance opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who can balance design accuracy, budget awareness, and timeline management in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage fabrication workflows for a retail project from design handoff through vendor coordination and production support.
- Review 3D models, drawings, and design documentation to interpret dimensions, materials, finishes, and build intent.
- Translate creative concepts into clear fabrication-ready guidance for production partners.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between internal stakeholders, designers, and fabricators.
- Create and manage bid sheets for pricing review and vendor bid processes.
- Develop, track, and resolve RFIs to address design and fabrication questions.
- Support pricing discussions and communicate clearly around scope, cost, and budget considerations.
- Help ensure final fabrication aligns with design intent, quality standards, project timelines, and financial expectations.
Qualifications
- 5–6 years of experience in fabrication management, ideally within retail environments.
- Strong ability to interpret and communicate design intent for fabrication execution.
- Experience working from 3D models, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Hands-on experience creating bid sheets and managing RFI workflows.
- Comfort discussing budgets, pricing, and project spend with stakeholders and vendors.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage details in a deadline-driven project environment.
