Job description

Senior Manager, Product Management

Employment Type: Freelance

We are seeking a strategic, delivery-focused Product Manager to shape and advance sales enablement capabilities within a complex financial-services environment. This consultant will turn business priorities into clear product direction, actionable requirements, and well-sequenced delivery plans.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable facilitating decisions with senior stakeholders, refining experience concepts with design teams, and partnering with data, architecture, and engineering teams to bring scalable product capabilities to market.

What You’ll Do

  • Convert business goals and user needs into product roadmaps, process designs, epics, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria.
  • Lead backlog refinement and prioritization, release planning, program increment planning, and delivery sequencing.
  • Define product and functional requirements for sales workflows, including client insights, pipeline management, engagement activity, account structures, and reporting.
  • Establish clear data requirements for customer, account, relationship, hierarchy, entitlement, and interaction data.
  • Collaborate with data teams to define usable sales signals, including relevance, ranking, governance, and data-refresh expectations.
  • Partner with UX and research teams to validate workflow assumptions, prototypes, and end-user experiences using representative scenarios and data.
  • Coordinate across business leaders, solution architects, data specialists, and technology teams to resolve dependencies and make timely product decisions.
  • Define and monitor success measures tied to user adoption, sales productivity, data quality, operational efficiency, and business impact.
  • Support delivery of digital sales experiences for advisor-facing and institutional user groups in a regulated setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Eight or more years of product management, product ownership, business analysis, or functional product delivery experience.
  • Experience supporting asset management, wealth management, financial advisory, or other financial-services distribution organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of sales enablement workflows, including lead management, opportunity progression, client insights, account hierarchies, engagement tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, including objects, permissions, automation, workflows, and platform capabilities.
  • Demonstrated skill in functional and logical data modeling, data governance, master data concepts, lineage, quality controls, and access management.
  • Proven ability to transform ambiguous business needs into prioritized product features, detailed stories, acceptance criteria, and release-ready plans.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including SAFe practices, PI planning, sprint planning, and business acceptance activities.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build alignment across executive stakeholders and multidisciplinary delivery teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Data 360, Agentforce, or comparable customer-data and AI-enabled platform capabilities.
  • Exposure to intelligent automation, AI-assisted workflows, or agentic solutions in a financial-services context.
  • Knowledge of composable, API-led, or headless architecture patterns supporting multiple channels and reusable services.
  • Experience delivering products while underlying data architecture, source-system integration, or data quality practices are still maturing.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned product leader who can bring structure to complex initiatives, make informed trade-offs, and help teams deliver practical, measurable improvements for sales users.
