Job description

Senior Sales Executive

A family-owned women’s contemporary lifestyle brand is seeking a Senior Sales Executive to lead and grow its wholesale business. Specializing in elevated knitwear and outerwear for the modern woman, the brand is built on a foundation of quality fabrication, precise fit, and timeless design, delivering a collection customers return to season after season.

The aesthetic is defined by soft minimalism — clean, flattering silhouettes accented by thoughtful details that elevate without overwhelming. Knitwear sits at the heart of the collection, from refined everyday tees and tops to sophisticated sweaters and layering pieces. Outerwear is a signature strength, with each season delivering elevated, wear-everywhere styles that anchor the assortment. The line is approximately 60–70% sweaters, with the balance in jackets and wovens.

As a vertically integrated business, the company oversees every step of the design and production process — from textile sourcing to finished garment — ensuring a high standard of quality and dependable delivery windows for retail partners. Positioned in the contemporary market tier and retailing from $100 to $250, the brand is carried by specialty boutiques nationwide and supported by an experienced network of sales representatives across the country.

This Senior Sales Executive will serve as the primary commercial relationship for buyers and will own seasonal sell-in, drive new account acquisition, run market appointments, and partner closely with leadership and design to help shape line strategy, calendar planning, and channel mix.

The ideal candidate brings an existing network of buyer relationships, can quickly ramp on current accounts, and operates independently. The team is looking for someone who can not only open doors, but also manage accounts at a high level — taking buyer meetings, following up consistently, helping develop store strategy, and supporting execution that drives growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own seasonal sell-in across existing wholesale accounts and meet or exceed seasonal booking targets.
  • Bring and activate buyer relationships from an existing book of business, opening new specialty, online, and select department store accounts aligned with the brand.
  • Manage key accounts end to end, including buyer meetings, follow-up, seasonal planning, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Lead all market appointments during New York market weeks and represent the brand at trade shows including Coterie, Capsule, Project, and others as relevant.
  • Partner with leadership on sales strategy, account segmentation, shipping strategy, and growth planning.
  • Collaborate with leadership and design to provide market feedback and help shape assortments and channel opportunities.
  • Support growth with a strong focus on specialty retail and selective expansion.

Ideal Background

  • Senior wholesale sales experience in contemporary women’s apparel.
  • Experience managing meaningful volume, ideally with exposure to a $10M sales business or similar scale.
  • Strong relationships across specialty retail, e-commerce, and select department store channels.
  • Track record of both business development and account management.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Brand sensibility aligned with contemporary women’s apparel.

Additional Details

  • Sales are currently growing, with 95% of business in specialty stores.
  • The company has six U.S. regions mapped out, with a lead sales representative in each region and additional sales support underneath.
  • The New York office includes a small, lean team and is not a heavily corporate environment.
  • Benefits are flexible and include company contribution toward medical, vision, and dental coverage sourced through the marketplace.
