Job description

Our client, a well known name in the CPG space is seeking a Senior Experiential Designer. This is a remote freelance role about 32 hours a week that is ongoing for the right person. Must be US based.

This role is responsible for concepting, designing, and executing experiential projects across retail stores, trade shows, pop-ups, events,
and branded activations. You are a multifaceted designer—a true “Swiss Army
Knife”—capable of crafting compelling experiences in both 3D and 2D formats.
This role supports the Creative Director by taking ownership of complex projects,
presenting work to stakeholders, and driving ideas through to execution with
minimal oversight.

What You’ll Do
Creative & Experiential Design:
• Lead concept development and execution of retail stores, trade shows, pop-ups,
events, and branded activations.
• Develop sketches, 3D renderings, floor plans, environmental graphics, and
production-ready artwork.
• Build comprehensive presentations, mood boards, material palettes, and design
rationales.
• Create graphic designs for print media, such as posters and signs, and for
branded materials, such as tote bags and other swag items.

Project Leadership:
• Independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously from concept
through installation.
• Support the Creative Director by owning workstreams and ensuring project
momentum.
• Collaborate across a matrixed organization (Retail, Events, Product, Marketing
and Construction).
• Partner with external vendors and fabricators to translate concepts into final built
experiences.
• Present work to leadership, gather feedback, and evolve designs based on
strategic guidance.

Quality & Execution:
• Ensure all design work meets Lakeshore’s brand, aesthetic, and quality
standards.
• Prepare accurate production files for print, fabrication, and installation.
• Review materials and fabrication samples for quality control.

Who You Are
Experience:
• 5–10 years of experience in experiential design, environmental design, retail
design, pop-ups, trade shows, or branded spaces.
• Have a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in compelling 3D experiences
AND graphic design work.
• Agency experience is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of print production and expertise in reviewing and approving
print samples and proofs for quality control.
• Strong conceptual thinking and storytelling abilities.
• You’re as comfortable with kerning letters on an event poster you designed as
you are with designing a retail fixture.

Skills:
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite and Sketchup.
• Proficient in MS office, Figma/Figjam and AI tools like Firefly.
• Skilled in environmental graphics, spatial storytelling, and production workflows.
• Strong communicator able to present confidently to executives.
• Adept at navigating matrixed organizations and building alignment across
diverse teams.
