Studio Production Coordinator

Employment Type: Freelance
Duration: 1 month, with potential to extend
Location: 5 days onsite in Brooklyn, NY

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Studio Production Coordinator to support day-to-day studio merchandising operations in a fast-paced production environment. This freelance role will partner closely with styling, production, and operations teams to ensure products, samples, and inventory are organized, tracked, and shoot-ready at all times.

The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and prior experience in merchandising, e-commerce, retail, or studio support. This person will help maintain efficient workflows across sample intake, product movement, inventory accuracy, and on-set readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate product samples and merchandise for studio shoots and related projects.
  • Track inventory, monitor product status, and maintain accurate merchandising records.
  • Support shoot preparation by organizing samples, assortments, and product flow.
  • Partner with production and studio teams to ensure timely movement of merchandise.
  • Maintain orderly storage, labeling, and inventory systems for easy retrieval and return.
  • Assist with merchandising logistics, reconciliations, and general operational support.

Qualifications

  • Experience in merchandising coordination, studio operations, retail, or e-commerce environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously.
  • Comfort working with inventory systems, spreadsheets, and tracking processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, highly organized setting.

Preferred Background

  • Previous experience supporting photo studios, online retail teams, or product-based workflows.
  • Familiarity with sample management, merchandising operations, and production coordination.
