Technical Designer
We are looking for a fast, detail-oriented Technical Designer to join a growing men’s streetwear brand. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, production-driven environment and wants to be deeply involved in the full product lifecycle, from design handoff through development, sampling, approvals, and production.
This is not a creative design role. It is a production-focused position for someone who knows how to build clean tech packs, communicate clearly with factories, and keep product moving with speed and accuracy.
What You Will Do
- Create, update, and maintain detailed tech packs in Adobe Illustrator
- Partner directly with domestic and international factories on samples, specs, corrections, trims, fabrics, artwork, and production details
- Review samples and provide clear, actionable comments to vendors
- Support categories including graphic tees and woven apparel
- Assist with garment construction details, measurements, BOMs, artwork placement, color callouts, and production notes
- Work cross-functionally with production, development, design, and leadership to ensure accuracy from sample stage through bulk production
- Track samples, approvals, deadlines, shipments, and production follow-up
- Maintain organized files, updated tech packs, and production records
- Help keep day-to-day production and office coordination running smoothly
- Write strong, professional emails with clear next steps, approvals, and corrections
What We Are Looking For
- Experience as a Technical Designer, Production Assistant, Product Developer, or in a similar apparel production role
- Strong Adobe Illustrator skills
- Experience creating tech packs for apparel
- Experience working directly with factories, both domestic and international preferred
- Knowledge of graphic tees, woven garments, trims, fabrications, screen print or embroidery placement, and garment construction
- Strong understanding of measurements, fit comments, construction details, and production terminology
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple styles and shifting priorities
- Strong written communication skills, especially over email
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with tight timelines
- Willingness to jump in across production, development, operations, and coordination needs
The Ideal Candidate
You have a strong technical production background in apparel and know how to speak factory language. You are sharp, fast, organized, and comfortable wearing multiple hats. You are just as ready to update a tech pack as you are to review samples, send vendor follow-ups, visit a factory, or help keep the entire development process moving.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a men’s streetwear brand where your work will have real impact. If you love product, thrive in technical design production, and enjoy being close to the action, this role offers the chance to grow with a team that moves quickly and values strong execution.
