Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Developer to own and build out the Product Development function across a growing assortment of apparel and accessories. This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong product aesthetic, deep fabric and trim knowledge, overseas vendor experience, and the ability to create processes and organization from the ground up.

The ideal candidate has experience owning the full product development lifecycle and is comfortable working across essentials, basics, fleece, tees, and expanding categories such as hats, totes, socks, and other accessories.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own end-to-end Product Development across multiple apparel and accessory categories
  • Build and maintain the PD library, processes, trackers, and documentation
  • Lead fabric, raw material, and trim development
  • Manage overseas vendors and factories, including material sourcing and development
  • Own product information and development activity within PLM
  • Partner closely with Production and Marketing throughout the development lifecycle
  • Build and manage detailed trackers for development, production, pre-production, SMS, photoshoots, and key milestones
  • Work closely with external SanMar Product Development partners
  • Track development calendars, approvals, samples, materials, and production readiness
  • Bring a strong aesthetic and product eye while balancing quality, cost, timelines, and commercial needs
  • Help establish scalable Product Development processes as the product assortment continues to grow

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of Product Development experience, ideally within apparel and/or accessories
  • Experience owning Product Development and building processes, libraries, and tracking systems
  • Strong knowledge of fabric, trims, raw materials, garment development, and sourcing
  • Experience managing overseas vendors and factories
  • Strong understanding of the product lifecycle from development through production
  • PLM experience required
  • Expert-level Excel skills
  • Strong aesthetic with an excellent eye for product, quality, and detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to create and manage multiple trackers and development calendars
  • Strong cross-functional experience partnering with Production, Marketing, vendors, and external PD partners
  • Comfortable working in a growing environment where you will be expected to take ownership and build structure
