Role Summary
Our client, a global consumer brand, is seeking a Vice President of Global Social Strategy & Intelligence to lead the strategy, platform intelligence, and measurement foundation for its global social media organization.
This role will turn social signals into faster, better decisions across content, creators, platforms, markets, and investment. The ideal candidate is a social media expert first, with the analytics and data fluency to determine what the organization needs to know, why it matters, and how those insights should shape strategy and execution.
This executive will also set the direction for AI-enabled social intelligence, partnering with Analytics, Enterprise Data, and IT to establish the methodology, infrastructure, and scalable data products required for global decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Own the global social measurement framework, including KPI definitions, reporting cadence, platform benchmarks, dashboard standards, executive reporting, and AI-assisted insight generation.
Establish consistent measurement across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
Define the data requirements and taxonomy needed to evaluate campaigns, creators, assets, markets, accounts, audiences, and individual posts across regions.
Shape the social analytics technology and data ecosystem in partnership with Analytics, Enterprise Data, and IT.
Establish clear standards for social listening, reporting, dashboarding, taxonomy, data quality, and governance.
Champion the use of AI and automation to reduce manual reporting, identify emerging trends, flag performance anomalies, and surface actionable insights more quickly.
Implement appropriate standards for accuracy, human review, ownership, and escalation of AI-generated insights.
Advance the organization’s measurement capabilities beyond standard reporting through creative testing, paid amplification learnings, brand-lift analysis, and incrementality measurement where data allows.
Serve as the organization’s senior social platform authority, staying ahead of algorithm changes, new formats, creator behavior, platform-native tools, and evolving content mechanics.
Translate platform developments and performance signals into clear recommendations for content, creative, creator, paid media, and regional marketing teams.
Partner with Marketing Analytics to connect social performance with broader business outcomes, including revenue, point-of-sale performance, market share, new-product performance, brand lift, and commercial impact.
Develop clear, consistent methodologies for evaluating viral momentum, full-funnel activation, creative performance, creator effectiveness, and paid and organic social impact.
Translate complex platform and performance data into decisive recommendations for executive audiences.
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing social intelligence and analytics team responsible for reporting, social listening, insight generation, ad hoc analysis, technology administration, and ongoing improvement of the measurement model.
Qualifications
12+ years of experience across social media, social strategy, social analytics, measurement, platform intelligence, or data strategy.
Senior leadership experience building or scaling a global social function, team, operating model, measurement framework, or KPI structure.
Deep subject-matter expertise across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Pinterest, and emerging social platforms.
Strong understanding of paid, earned, and organic social media, as well as creator, influencer, and community ecosystems.
Platform-side experience in data, product, partnerships, or measurement at TikTok, Meta, Pinterest, YouTube, or a similar organization is highly valued.
Strong data fluency, including the ability to work with platform data, business-intelligence tools, data models, and centralized analytics or engineering teams.
Advanced SQL or comparable technical experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong data-product ownership experience.
Experience developing or governing metric definitions, data dictionaries, taxonomies, and reporting standards across multiple teams, markets, or regions.
Ability to define technical and reporting requirements for centralized data and engineering teams.
Working fluency with AI and automation tools used for reporting, anomaly detection, trend identification, and predictive analytics.
Clear understanding of AI accuracy standards, human review requirements, and escalation protocols.
Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data and platform signals into a clear point of view and actionable recommendations.
Experience within CPG, DTC, retail, consumer electronics, a major social platform, or a leading agency environment is preferred.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who understands social media at its core but can also build the intelligence and measurement infrastructure behind it. The successful candidate will shape how a global organization evaluates social performance, responds to cultural and platform signals, deploys AI, and connects social activity to measurable business results.
