Purpose of the Role:
Our client is seeking a contract Amazon Marketing Specialist to support our Marketing and New Product Development (NPD) team in researching marketplace trends and identifying adjacent product opportunities on Amazon. This project will focus on uncovering high-potential items in the food color, decorating, and baking categories that align with our existing manufacturing capabilities and growth strategy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Use Jungle Scout, Helium 10, or similar analytics tools to identify top-performing and emerging Amazon products in relevant categories.
- Evaluate competitor listings, pricing, sales velocity, keyword trends, and customer reviews to determine attractive adjacent product opportunities.
- Prepare a summary report highlighting recommended product opportunities with supporting data, including sales estimates, competitive insights, and feasibility within client’s current production capabilities.
- Collaborate with the internal team to refine shortlist recommendations and support next-step evaluation (e.g., concept briefs, packaging direction, pricing ranges).
- Provide input on Amazon listing strategy, keyword optimization, and product positioning for new SKUs under consideration.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience using Jungle Scout, Helium 10, or similar Amazon analytics tools.
- Background in Amazon product research, competitive analysis, or e-commerce marketing.
- Strong understanding of Amazon Seller Central, FBA/FBM models, and category dynamics.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
- Experience with CPG, food, or baking categories is a plus.
Deliverables
- Comprehensive market scan and opportunity report identifying 10–15 high-potential adjacent products.
- Data summary including sales volume, competition density, review analysis, and keyword opportunities.
- Recommendations for next-step development or listing strategy aligned with client’s brand and capabilities.
