Job description

The Assistant will support two managers who represent directors, producers, writers, and digital talent, and will work closely with internal teams across TV/Film, music, and digital. This is a high-volume, fast-paced desk, ideal for someone eager to learn the representation side of the entertainment industry. The ideal person for this role is someone who is curious, asks thoughtful questions, can work independently, and shows genuine interest in the business. A passion for entertainment, representation, and reading materials proactively to better understand clients and projects is essential.

Schedule & Contract

Mon–Thurs: Onsite

Fri: Work from home

Contract to Hire

Pay rate: $25/hr.

Standard hours: 9:00AM-6PM PST.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage high-volume phones, including rolling calls and maintaining call sheets.
  • Handle heavy scheduling and calendar management for managers and clients.
  • Coordinate travel and logistics for managers and clients as needed.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, agents, executives, and external partners.
  • Read and engage with scripts and other materials; provide script coverage as needed.
  • Track current and potential clients and maintain up-to-date databases and lists.
  • Review, maintain, and submit booking reports and related documentation.
  • Organize and improve systems and workflows for submitting clients to projects.
  • Assist with special projects, research, and compiling information and decks as requested.
  • Provide occasional coverage and support for other team members and desks.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, curious mindset with a demonstrated passion for the entertainment industry and representation.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative while remaining a collaborative team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional phone and email etiquette.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact confidently with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Quick to learn new systems, tools, and processes; proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Google Suite/Microsoft Office).
  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Prior agency or entertainment industry experience strongly preferred.
