Associate Creative Director, Copy – Healthcare & Life Sciences (Contract, Remote/Hybrid)
Rate: $75–$100/hour

Client Overview
Our client is seeking an Associate Creative Director, Copy with expertise in healthcare and life sciences to lead the development of compelling, compliant content for patient and healthcare professional audiences.

Responsibilities
• Lead concept development and oversee copy across healthcare, pharma, and medical technology campaigns
• Present creative work and clearly articulate strategy and messaging rationale
• Ensure all content meets regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., FDA, PRC review)
• Write and oversee content across channels including digital, email, social, web, and sales materials
• Translate complex clinical concepts into clear, engaging, and accurate messaging
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in brand voice and execution
• Mentor and provide feedback to junior writers
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency across all deliverables

Qualifications
• 6+ years of copywriting experience in healthcare, pharma, or life sciences
• Strong portfolio demonstrating medical or healthcare copy
• Experience with regulatory review processes (e.g., PRC)
• Experience leading or mentoring other writers
• Ability to balance scientific accuracy with creative storytelling
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Nice-to-Haves
• Oncology or pharmaceutical brand experience
• Experience developing messaging for both HCP and patient audiences

• Contract rate: $75–$100/hour
