Job description

Overview

We’re seeking a CAD Designer with an architecture and/or interior design background who can create detailed CADs, space renderings and graphics packages as well as conduct on-site field visits. The role combines hands-on site visits, detailed photo documentation and the creation of CADs and other assets used cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field verification/site walks of spaces to capture accurate dimensions, conditions, and updates.
  • Create and update various documents and related CAD deliverables based on field conditions.
  • Develop renderings and graphics packages to support planning, and presentation needs (e.g., color plans, exhibit-quality PDFs, visuals for stakeholder review).
  • Attend on-site inspections; document findings through detailed photography and standardized reports.
  • Track and report space changes, remodel updates, and notable conditions; communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Coordinate with project teams to confirm scope, timelines, and drawing/visual standards; maintain organized files and revision histories.
  • Create and update CADs and renderings for a variety of projects

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in CAD drafting/design, ideally within retail, architecture, or interior design environments.
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam preferred.
  • Experience producing accurate as-builts/field-verified drawings and translating site notes into clean CAD documentation.
  • Ability to produce presentation-ready visuals, including basic-to-intermediate renderings and graphics packages.
  • Understanding of retail build-outs and tenant construction; familiarity with interior design best practices.
  • Working knowledge of ADA requirements and relevant building codes (as applicable to drawing updates and documentation).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear site-visit reports.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple updates with attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Background in architecture, retail design, interior design, or graphic design.
  • Comfort working in active retail/tenant environments and coordinating access for site visits.
