Senior Content Designer – Canadian Digital Banking
We’re looking for an intermediate to senior content designer to help support our client’s Canadian Digital Banking Product Teams for six months.
We need a content designer who can write in a focused, friendly tone for online banking scenarios with high utility needs. (Think: “We’re here to help, but we get to the point.”) Accessibility writing skills are also key.
Also fundamental to this role is driving for clarity on the following: What is the business problem to solve? Why does the business need this solution?
What is the customer problem to solve? How are we helping the customer and why do they care?
What technological solutions are available to support the ask? (We have a lot of legacy tech. Sometimes we need to write around it. Sometimes we need to advocate for additional builds to drive the UX solutions. An understanding of code bases/CMS is helpful.)
Nice to have: UX writing more marketing in tone where/as needed.
Key platforms: Ideally candidates are comfortable in our suite of platforms: Figma, Confluence, JIRA, ZeroHeight, Microsoft 365, Sharepoint.
Nice to have: Adobe Analytics

Can turn complex content problems into simple and engaging customer experiences. Comfortable in rethinking the user experience and the message being communicated to be written concisely, effectively, and creatively.
Leads and influences the user experience beyond just content, strategizing the layout of a page/screen/flow to establish what is being said, how, and where. Then works with visual designer to put ideas into place.
• Clarifies success metrics and ties efforts toward delivering business value. • Defines or understands the patterns that work across multiple systems and designs across system boundaries. • Adheres to content guidelines for specific product/area of work. Should be comfortable with content governance being a bit sparse. We are not Intuit or Shopify, but working towards it. • Systematically explores solutions, providing various content options/experiences, and clearly tying back highly differentiated directions to business objectives. • Can understand / assess impact and effectiveness of designs from a qualitative and quantitative perspective and use to inform strategy and implementation of future iterations and features.
• Communicates rationale to partners and larger groups including stakeholders and executives
• Recognized by peers for the quality of their work. Sought out for their feedback outside immediate team.
Should strike a balance between self directed work but also being comfortable with asking questions and getting feedback.
