Job description

We are seeking a freelance senior Content Producer to lead the conception, development, and launch of content-driven features for a large-scale streaming product ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of content, product, and technology, with a focus on elevating how users discover and experience new and existing media.

You will partner closely with Product Management, UI/UX, and Engineering teams to define and deliver innovative content experiences that support key business goals. From shaping new product features in a TV/streaming environment to optimizing ongoing content production workflows, you’ll be responsible for driving projects from idea through launch and beyond.

12 month contract
Hybrid to Culver City
Pay: $80-90hr DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end content production for new and existing product features within a TV/streaming app environment, ensuring quality, consistency, and on-time delivery.
  • Translate business and product objectives into clear, actionable content strategies and production plans.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, UI/UX, Engineering, Marketing, and external vendors to design and ship content-driven experiences.
  • Drive creative explorations and experimentation around new media formats, interaction models, and feature concepts that enhance streaming and content discovery.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including requirements, specs, production guidelines, and QA criteria for content features.
  • Partner with UI/UX teams to ensure content is tightly integrated with interface design, navigation, and interaction patterns.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to align on technical feasibility, data structures, content delivery workflows, and tooling requirements.
  • Manage complex production schedules, dependencies, and resources across multiple simultaneous feature initiatives.
  • Oversee vendor and agency relationships, including scopes of work, budgets, timelines, and deliverable quality.
  • Identify risks and roadblocks early, proposing and implementing solutions that protect timelines and quality.
  • Contribute to and evolve content standards, templates, and best practices for static, motion, and interactive media within the product.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in content production for digital products, ideally within streaming, OTT, or subscription-based services.
  • Proven track record producing content for new product features, from early discovery and concepting through launch.
  • Demonstrated success working cross functionally with Product, UI/UX, and Engineering teams on complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of user experience principles as they relate to content discovery, personalization, and engagement in TV/streaming environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with the creative production lifecycle, including briefing, creative development, asset production, localization, QA, and deployment.
  • Experience defining and documenting content requirements that directly inform product specs, technical implementation, and QA processes.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate highly cross-functional meetings, synthesize input, and drive decisions that balance user needs, creative vision, and technical constraints.
  • Proficiency managing multiple workstreams, timelines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate content strategies, feature requirements, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing external partners and agencies, including scoping, budgeting, and performance oversight.
