The Digital Experience Senior Specialist is a freelance role focused on elevating the performance, usability, and measurability of a complex global web ecosystem. This position is responsible for designing and governing digital analytics, optimizing on-site experiences, and translating data into clear guidance for marketing, product, and technology stakeholders.

Working across multiple brands, regions, and web properties, you will serve as a centralized expert for digital experience and analytics. You will lead the configuration of analytics and tagging, refine user journeys, and drive continuous improvement through experimentation and insights. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of UX, content strategy, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of directly related Google Ads experience
  • Web Experience Optimization
    • Evaluate site structure, navigation, and templates to enhance usability, engagement, and conversion across global sites.
    • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to refine layouts, CTAs, and content modules using data-driven recommendations.
    • Support planning, build, and optimization of campaign and product landing pages, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
    • Champion accessibility, site performance, and mobile-first design standards.
  • Analytics & Tag Management
    • Configure, maintain, and govern web analytics implementations (e.g., Google Analytics 4) across multiple domains and regions.
    • Manage tag deployment through a tag management system (e.g., Google Tag Manager), including events, conversions, and custom tracking.
    • Partner with developers to validate implementation, resolve discrepancies, and maintain robust, reliable data collection.
    • Define and maintain measurement frameworks, tracking specifications, and analytics standards.
  • Reporting & Insights
    • Develop recurring dashboards and reports highlighting traffic, engagement, conversion funnels, and user behavior patterns.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, audience segments, and friction points within key journeys.
    • Translate complex findings into concise, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Provide ad hoc analysis in support of product releases, website launches, and major marketing initiatives.
  • Testing & Continuous Improvement
    • Design and execute A/B and multivariate tests for messaging, layouts, and interaction patterns.
    • Define hypotheses, success metrics, and test requirements; interpret outcomes and recommend next steps.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to implement winning variations and scale proven optimizations.
  • Stakeholder Partnership & Governance
    • Collaborate with marketing, content, product, and IT teams to align digital experience initiatives with business objectives.
    • Advise stakeholders on best practices for digital experience, analytics capabilities, and KPI interpretation.
    • Support onboarding of new regions, brands, or acquired sites into the existing analytics and experience framework.
    • Contribute to playbooks, documentation, and training to drive consistency across the digital ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, information systems, analytics, HCI, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital analytics, web optimization, or digital experience roles.
  • Direct experience with Google Analytics 4 or a comparable analytics platform, tag management tools such as Google Tag, dashboarding/reporting tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Proven ability to drive measurable improvements in website performance using data and experimentation.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, user journeys, and conversion rate optimization methods.
  • Experience defining measurement strategies, establishing KPIs, and safeguarding data quality.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including experience working with distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
