Job description

Our client, a global technology consultancy/provider, is looking to bring on a Digital Product Team Lead to work on their large pharmaceutical client. This role is hybrid preferred in Indianapolis, will be around 40 hours per week, and 12 months in duration, with potential to extend.

SUMMARY:
The Digital Product Team Lead will lead the UX Consulting team in Bengaluru, India, providing on-demand UX and UI support to cross-functional partners across the company. This role is responsible for triaging incoming design requests, defining scope, delegating work, and ensuring high-quality, impactful design solutions. The Team Lead will work closely with global stakeholders to deliver intuitive, accessible, and user-centered digital experiences that support business objectives and enhance patient and employee experiences.

HIERARCHY:
This role sits within the design team and serves as a key liaison between business partners, project teams, and the UX Consulting design team in India. The position has direct people leadership responsibilities and contributes to strategic UX delivery across the enterprise.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Lead, manage, and inspire a team of UX and digital product designers to deliver high-quality digital solutions that unify form and function
  • Own intake and triage of UX design requests from business partners, defining scope, priorities, and timelines.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while balancing team capacity and ensuring timely delivery of work.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and project teams, clearly communicating design rationale, managing expectations, and translating feedback into actionable direction.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and constructive feedback to support team growth and professional development.
  • Ensure adherence to our design standards while encouraging creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on UX trends, emerging technologies, industry standards, and best practices to evolve the design practice.
  • Demonstrate strong executive accountability, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize resources to deliver results efficiently.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in design (Digital Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field). Equivalent practical experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years of experience in UX or product design, with a strong focus on digital experiences.
  • Proven experience leading and managing design teams.
  • Experience delivering UX/UI solutions across multiple digital platforms and products.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional portfolio demonstrates visual and experience design across multiple projects and mediums.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and passion for innovation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
