Digital Project Manager – Freelance
We are seeking an experienced Digital Project Manager to join a collaborative, in-house agency-style project management team on a freelance contract through the end of the year. This role will primarily support digital, website, UX/UI, and creative marketing initiatives, managing projects from intake through execution and final delivery.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, proactive project manager who understands how digital and web projects move through the development process and can quickly step in, learn established workflows, and independently manage multiple projects and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end digital marketing and creative projects, with a strong emphasis on website and digital initiatives.
- Lead projects involving UX/UI design and development, ensuring work progresses efficiently from initial request through completion.
- Coordinate website requests throughout the authoring, QA, review, approval, and publishing process.
- Partner closely with creative, UX/UI, web, marketing, content, and other cross-functional teams to establish timelines, manage deliverables, and keep projects moving forward.
- Serve as a central point of coordination across stakeholders, proactively identifying next steps, dependencies, risks, and potential roadblocks.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Communicate project status, timelines, changes, and expectations clearly to stakeholders and project teams.
- Work autonomously while collaborating closely with other project managers to share knowledge, provide coverage, and support overall team priorities.
Qualifications
- Experience in marketing project management, preferably within an in-house agency, creative agency, or similar fast-paced marketing environment.
- Strong experience managing digital and website projects, including projects involving UX/UI design and development.
- Understanding of the website production lifecycle and how work moves through authoring, QA, approvals, and publishing.
- Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or a similar content management system is a strong plus, but not required.
- Hands-on website authoring experience is not required; however, candidates should be comfortable coordinating with the teams responsible for authoring, QA, and publishing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining timelines, details, and deliverables.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Collaborative, self-directed, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy.
- A self-starter/self-serve mindset with the ability to quickly learn established processes, identify what is needed, and keep work moving forward.
