Job description

An established beauty and lifestyle company is seeking a Director of Brand Marketing to lead brand strategy, drive growth, and elevate brand equity. This role oversees all aspects of brand communication—from long-term positioning to day-to-day execution across campaigns, product storytelling, PR, and partnerships. The ideal candidate brings a strong pulse on industry trends, digital innovation, and emerging cultural moments that influence consumer behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Brand Leadership

  • Define and own the long-term brand vision and annual marketing roadmap in alignment with business goals.

  • Establish brand positioning, messaging hierarchy, and value proposition across all consumer touchpoints.

  • Ensure a cohesive brand identity and voice across platforms, campaigns, and communications.

  • Create and manage brand and product guidelines, toolkits, and core assets for cross-functional use.

Innovation & Product Marketing

  • Lead go-to-market planning for new product collections, seasonal launches, and brand extensions.

  • Develop compelling product narratives—including positioning, messaging, claims, and educational content.

  • Leverage consumer insights, competitive analysis, and market trends to inform strategy and identify whitespace.

Integrated Marketing Execution

  • Oversee the planning and rollout of multi-channel marketing initiatives across paid media, PR, social, eCommerce, experiential, and brand partnerships.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and execute 360° campaigns.

  • Bonus: Experience in both DTC and retail/omnichannel marketing environments is a plus.

Business Performance & Budgeting

  • Own and manage the brand marketing budget, ensuring smart allocation and ROI-driven decisions.

  • Partner with analytics and finance teams to evaluate performance and refine strategies based on results.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing brand marketing team.

  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional partners across product, creative, eComm, sales, and executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.

  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in brand marketing, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record in brand building, product launches, and campaign execution across channels.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to guide strategic decisions.

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills; highly collaborative and solutions-oriented.

  • Background in beauty, fashion, wellness, or lifestyle categories preferred.
