Job description

Director of Business Development is a strategic rainmaker. Equal parts connector, deal-closer, and client whisperer. This leader will own growth from the front lines, leveraging deep industry relationships, insight-driven storytelling, and a partnership-first approach to drive revenue and expand our impact.

You’ll represent Intemark as both a solutions partner and a thought leader, while consistently identifying, developing, and closing high-value partnership and marketing opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive new business opportunities and revenue growth across strategic categories including entertainment, retail, healthcare, travel, and emerging sectors.
• Build and nurture high-impact relationships with senior marketing, brand, and business leaders.
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and pitching through proposal, pricing, negotiation, and close.
• Develop and deliver compelling, insight-based proposals and presentations that position Intemark’s services as solutions to client pain points.
• Identify and evaluate brand assets and marketing inventory using Intemark’s proprietary valuation methodology.
• Actively represent Intemark at industry events, conferences, and networking engagements.
• Partner with account leadership to ensure successful onboarding and seamless hand-off of new clients.
• Support long-range planning, forecasting, and business development goal setting.
• Track pipeline health, deal velocity, and close rates; report weekly progress to executive leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with valuation, strategy, creative, and execution teams to ensure pitches and proposals are rooted in impact.
• Stay ahead of partner marketing, sponsorship, licensing, client industry trends, and brand alliance trends be the internal voice of what’s next.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Natural relationship builder with a proven ability to win trust, sell vision, and close six- and seven-figure deals.
• Fluent in the language of value: brand equity, asset valuation, and ROI.
• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen grounded in real-world results.
• Self-starter and team player with exceptional follow-through and tenacity.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple high-stakes opportunities at once.
• Exceptional storyteller and communicator, both written and verbal, with executive presence.
• Skilled in deal structuring, negotiation, and objection handling.
• Enthusiastic contributor to a high-performing, collaborative, and fast-paced culture.
• Familiarity with CRM tools, proposal software, and sales reporting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sponsorship, or brand marketing.
• Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Strong track record of selling marketing, sponsorship, licensing, or strategic brand programs that produce measurable ROI.
• Experience in both agency and client-side roles is a plus.
• Established network of brand and agency contacts across key verticals.
