Our client is seeking a director of operations to lead and optimize our operational framework across their design studio, online shop, and product development & manufacturing ventures. As director of operations, you will be the cornerstone ensuring smooth, scalable, and profitable company-wide functions. Collaborating closely with their CEO, COO, and venture directors, you will craft and execute operational strategies, streamline workflows, and develop robust systems that empower our teams and make our vision a reality.
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance operational processes across their businesses (design, ecommerce, and manufacturing) to maximize efficiency, clarity, and scalability
- Partner with leadership to translate company strategy into clear, actionable operational plans with measurable goals
- Support financial leadership by overseeing operations management, ensuring precise systems for cash flow visibility and profit optimization
- Integrate and manage core systems and platforms to enable seamless data flow and collaboration
- Create and maintain thorough standard operating procedures (SOPs) to standardize workflows and uphold accountability
- Build data-driven reporting systems and dashboards to track key performance indicators related to revenue, operations, and client satisfaction
- Assess and refine relationships with vendors and partners to guarantee operational reliability and cost efficiency
- Oversee HR systems, ensuring compliance, smooth onboarding, role clarity, and strong performance management
- Lead operational planning for new product launches and company initiatives, managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional coordination
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to increase margins, reduce waste, and enhance scalability
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making and accountability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of progressive experience in operations or organizational leadership, with a background in design, e-commerce, or manufacturing is highly desired
- Proven track record of building scalable systems across multiple business units or brands
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex workflows into efficient processes
- Financial savvy, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and margin optimization
- Adaptable, creative problem-solver who excels in fast-paced and evolving environments.
- Exceptional collaborator and communicator capable of influencing diverse teams
- Proficient with Google Workspace and project management software; familiarity with Shopify, QuickBooks, and CRM platforms is a plus
