A leading fashion and bridal company is seeking a Director of Social Media & Content to lead the strategic vision and execution of social media across a portfolio of premium brands. This leadership role combines high-level strategy with hands-on creative execution, overseeing brand storytelling, content creation, community engagement, influencer initiatives, and social performance.

The ideal candidate is a creative and analytical leader with deep expertise in building social-first brands, managing high-performing teams, and driving measurable business impact across both B2B and B2C audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy

  • Develop and execute a cohesive, multi-brand social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Shape distinct, platform-native brand voices while ensuring consistency across all social channels.
  • Create social-first campaigns supporting product launches, seasonal initiatives, and brand activations.
  • Build and manage an always-on content strategy that captures real-time brand moments, events, influencer collaborations, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.
  • Own the social content calendar and ensure seamless coordination across brands and campaigns.
  • Identify emerging cultural trends and consumer behaviors to drive engagement and brand relevance.

Content Creation & Brand Storytelling

  • Lead the creation, production, and execution of compelling social-first content across photo, video, and short-form formats.
  • Partner with creative teams to plan and execute content shoots while supporting real-time content capture.
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve creative workflows while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Oversee influencer and creator content strategy, partnerships, and asset management.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library for all social and creator content.

Community Engagement

  • Oversee community management across all social platforms, ensuring timely, authentic, and brand-aligned interactions.
  • Foster engagement with customers, brand advocates, retail partners, and online communities.
  • Monitor conversations, trends, and cultural moments to strengthen brand presence and audience loyalty.

Performance & Analytics

  • Establish KPIs and measure social performance across engagement, audience growth, traffic, and conversions.
  • Analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Digital Marketing to align organic social with paid media initiatives and maximize overall campaign performance.
  • Continuously optimize content strategy based on analytics and consumer insights.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of social media professionals.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, PR, Sales, Events, Digital, Product, and Executive Leadership to ensure cohesive brand storytelling.
  • Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for social media strategy and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of social media marketing experience within fashion, beauty, luxury, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
  • 3–5+ years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven success building and scaling multi-platform social media strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and business growth.
  • Deep expertise across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging social platforms.
  • Strong understanding of platform algorithms, content trends, and social best practices.
  • Experience with social analytics and management tools such as Brandwatch, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, and Google Analytics (GA4).
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, and other content production tools.
  • Experience developing and managing influencer and creator marketing programs.
  • Strong creative direction skills with experience leading content ideation, production planning, and on-site content capture.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Passion for fashion, luxury, consumer brands, and digital storytelling.
