Client Overview
Our client is seeking an Email Developer with strong Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) experience to support the execution of high-performing email campaigns within a fast-paced, data-driven marketing environment. This role will focus on building, testing, and optimizing email communications that drive engagement and conversion while ensuring best-in-class deliverability and user experience.
Job Overview
The Email Developer will be responsible for coding, deploying, and QAing email campaigns in SFMC. You will collaborate closely with marketing, design, and CRM teams to translate creative into responsive, dynamic email templates while maintaining accuracy, scalability, and performance.
Responsibilities
• Develop and code responsive, cross-client compatible email templates using HTML, CSS, and AMPscript
• Build and deploy email campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio / Journey Builder)
• Implement dynamic content, personalization, and segmentation logic using AMPscript and data extensions
• Perform thorough QA testing across devices, inboxes, and email clients to ensure accuracy and functionality
• Troubleshoot rendering, personalization, and deliverability issues
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to bring campaigns to life while maintaining brand consistency
• Manage audience lists, data extensions, and campaign workflows within SFMC
• Monitor campaign performance and support A/B testing and optimization initiatives
• Ensure compliance with email marketing best practices, CASL, and data privacy standards
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in email development or CRM marketing
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder)
• Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS for email (responsive design, cross-client compatibility)
• Experience with AMPscript and dynamic content personalization
• Familiarity with email QA tools (Litmus, Email on Acid, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience with SQL for segmentation and data queries
• Familiarity with automation workflows and triggered campaigns
• Experience working in retail, eCommerce, or CPG environments
Additional Information
• Hybrid role based in Toronto
• Contract rate: $45–$55/hour, dependent on experience
