Freelance- Sample Coordinator- Onsite- Los Angeles

A well-know fashion brand is seeking a Sample Coordinator to join the team supporting product development across multiple categories. This is a freelance, fully onsite role based in Los Angeles, CA working closely with cross-functional teams and overseas vendors throughout the product lifecycle.

The Sample Coordinator supports the Product Development team by owning the tracking, organization, and management of all samples from proto through SMS across each season. This role ensures all samples are accounted for, organized, and delivered on time to support development, meetings, and key milestones.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate sample ordering, tracking, and organization in Excel and PLM
• Manage receipt and tracking of proto through SMS samples
• Maintain organized sample storage, hanging, and seasonal tracking
• Prepare samples for meetings, reviews, and cross-functional needs
• Communicate daily with overseas vendors to ensure timelines are met
• Partner with Merchandising, Creative, PR, Tech Design, and Production teams
• Track and report vendor on-time delivery performance
• Manage shipping and receiving of samples via DHL
• Communicate delays and updates across cross-functional teams

Qualifications:
• 1–2 years of experience in apparel or product development preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Working knowledge of PLM systems a plus
• Understanding of product lifecycle and garment construction
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
