24 Seven is partnering with a top global sportswear client to help them find a Graphic Designer for this onsite position in Portland, OR. This is a 6 month contract with potential to extend or turn into a FTE opportunity working 4 days a week onsite starting ASAP. While on contract, you’d be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, and more.
Ideal Candidate: will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience as well as proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite.
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our client’s Sportswear team, supporting the creation of graphics for t-shirts, apparel, and footwear. This role focuses on the visual appearance of products and related materials, working closely with Graphic Designers to translate creative concepts into detailed production-ready schematics that will be sent to factories for manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with ideation, concept development, and branding.
- Leads team projects and works independently to complete individual projects. These projects include, but are not limited to the development of print, packaging, 3-D retail displays, event signage, logo systems, imagery, video, and collateral materials.
- Effectively uses computerized systems in design process- Adobe Creative Suite
- Project Management – Works with functional teams from initial concept development to final production and distribution.
- Manages individual projects beginning with internal briefings, managing timelines, and scheduling work-back schedules, budget management, supplier coordination, reviewing specs, recommending production alternatives, and maintaining quality production standards.
- Cost Control – Manages both individual projects as well as groups of projects to stay within stated budgets.
- Communicates project details, design requirements, scheduling needs, and graphic materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience. If no bachelors, looking for 7-8 years of experience
- Must be proficient in Adobe Suite
- Experience working in screen print is also nice to have but not required.
- CLO 3D fashion design software is nice to have
- Efficient on Mac laptop and Microsoft office
- Strong communications, working with Graphic designers and factory partners
- Passion for Sportswear and streetwear is required
